Should you learn music theory, yes 100% because quite frankly what everyone seems to miss is that its literally a cheat sheet as to why certain sounds and chords work together. Music can seem really daunting at first and going from 0 to hero is again daunting but I'm here to say it's really not that bad.
If you find that after a while you aren’t having fun with it, music may not be for you. Just remember, you wont be making bangers right away but you should generally be having fun with what you’re doing! I listen to the songs I made when I first started producing and they sound atrocious, but I remember having an absolute BLAST making them. You being in this Reddit is already a good start at learning some things so props to you

I also recommend becoming a bit more analytical with the songs you like and listen to, like “how did they make that sound?” or, “what’s the structure in this song?” and maybe even looking up how to make those specific sounds you like. You don’t need to watch hours of tutorials, you just need to watch some basic tutorials to get you started then you just keep messing with stuff constantly till you get a grasp of what you’re doing. I also bought FL studio with no knowledge, just a love for electronic music and a drive to create something. If you know of any more, send a mod mail!
